Betting On Premiership Games In The Near Future

The next few weeks’ fixtures promise to answer plenty of questions regarding where the league trophy will end up come May because of the fact that Manchester United visit Anfield to play Liverpool this Saturday and then host Manchester City at Old Trafford the week after. Sir Alex Ferguson will be hoping that Wayne Rooney is wearing his shooting boots for these key clashes, while Roberto Mancini will be hoping that his squad’s morale has recovered from the recent negative furore surrounding Carlos Tevez’s shenanigans in Munich. City play Aston Villa at home this week before visiting their arch rivals and will be hoping to create some momentum with a few goals in a match they should certainly win to take with them into the Manchester derby.

The fact that Manchester United are playing Liverpool at Anfield rather than Old Trafford is the only reason I wouldn’t necessarily predict a United victory. Many Liverpool players over the decades have spoken about how the roar from the Kop can often be like a twelfth man on the pitch and it will be especially loud due to the fact that it is United visiting. I reckon the game will probably end in a draw that is perhaps high-scoring but whether I lay a wager on that will depend on the football betting odds that I can find. The best place to look is online.

In the match between the two sides from Manchester the week after, I reckon that United will most likely win this one by a few goals and consequently go on to win the league, though again, whether I lay this wager depends on the football betting odds that I can find. If you are thinking of laying money on Manchester United to win the league then I would do it sooner rather than later, because as the season continues and their dominance becomes all the more clear, their odds will get less and less favourable.
