British Pub Games: Pool and Snooker

Pubs are great places for socialising and meeting strangers, and the best way to do it is to play a round of traditional British pub games with a few drinks down you. The best thing about the traditional British pub games is that everyone who’s there already knows how to play them - it’s just that they’re not always good at them.

Wales, A Bet To Consider

This year’s World Cup of Rugby has shown a new team capable of doing great things for years to come. Wales, a team that averages 23 year old players, has completely crushed their opponents in the group stages of the competition and only losing by one point against the defending champion South Africa.

Betting On Premiership Games In The Near Future

The next few weeks’ fixtures promise to answer plenty of questions regarding where the league trophy will end up come May because of the fact that Manchester United visit Anfield to play Liverpool this Saturday and then host Manchester City at Old Trafford the week after. Sir Alex Ferguson will be hoping that Wayne Rooney is wearing his shooting boots for these key clashes, while Roberto Mancini will be hoping that his squad’s morale has recovered from the recent negative furore surrounding Carlos Tevez’s shenanigans in Munich. City play Aston Villa at home this week before visiting their arch rivals and will be hoping to create some momentum with a few goals in a match they should certainly win to take with them into the Manchester derby.

Will Manhattan Turn Into Atlantis?

The world of betting is getting more and more hilarious as rich people look for ways to stave off boredom. ...Surely that must be the motives behind some of the strangers bets ever made? ...People with too much money looking for ways to entertain themselves and us in the most off-the wall ways.

An Idiots Guide To American Football Rules

The purpose of the game of American Football is ultimately to move the ball towards the oppositions end zone.

What You May Not Know About Super Bowl

If you are a sports betting man in Europe then perhaps you should turn your interest to the States as well as Europe for its own Champions League. The Super Bowl 2012 threatens to be the biggest Super Bowl yet, in terms of the amount of people who will watch it.

Odds On Who Is Going to Win Euro 2012

Even nine months before the tournament begins, it is clear that it is going to be difficult for anyone to challenge Spain for the crown of European champions once again. They won the World Cup two years ago, the European Championships before that and recently went over a year unbeaten. The strength in depth that have in their squad covering every position on the park means that even considering injuries and suspensions, they will always be able to put out a world beating eleven. They also have arguably the three best midfielders pulling the strings in their side, all now from Barcelona since Fabregas’ summer transfer, along with Xavi and Iniesta. Busquets is another Barcelona man that is a mainstay in the national side as well, and there is also Puyol and Pique at centre-back.

Why You Should Put Your Money On Spain During The Euro 2012

It takes a lot of pressure for a national team to maintain a high level of football, especially when that team has been at the top since 2008. After winning the Euros that year, Spain has confirmed by winning the World Cup 2010.

Why Djokovic Isn’t Going To Win The US Open

It is clear to everyone that Djokovic has increased his level while Federrer and Nadal have somewhat decreased it.
However, so why Djokovic is unlikely to win the US Open 2011?
As Federer is getting old and has less energy and Nadal is always recovering from injuries their are many players that have all the potential to knot out a Djokovic maybe over-confident and slightly burnt out of his fantastic season. And many of them are there.

Champions League Betting

If you want my advice about who to bet on for the Champions League this coming season, then I would suggest either opting for Real Madrid, Barcelona or one of the Premiership’s four representatives. The two Spanish giants are always worth a punt because they possess such quality throughout their squads. Real Madrid have Casillas in goal, undoubtedly one of the best keepers in the world who has bags of Champions League experience as well as having been part of Spain’s World Cup winning squad last summer. They also have Cristiano Ronaldo in their ranks who has the pace, skill and finishing to change any game in the blink of an eye.

Useful Betting Tips

If you are thinking of placing some money on a sport in the near future, then I would recommend either putting money on horse racing or football. I am more of a man for betting on the latter but if you have got good knowledge of horses then obviously this is where you should lay your bets. Kempton odds are always worth keeping an eye on while an Ascot bet is a good idea if you have a good tip that validates a flutter.

Manchester City Football Club

Manchester City may have only finished fourth in the premier League last season, but they will have a much better chance of winning the whole league this coming year following the signings of Gael Clichy and Sergio Aguero in the summer. If they can also hold onto Tevez – although this looks unlikely – they will have one of the most dangerous strike forces in the whole of Europe. They also have Ballottelli, even if Tevez does leave, and then they have David Silva who has the subtlety to find space between the opposition’s lines of defence and midfield. Ya Toure had also blossomed into the kind of raiding central midfielder who can take any game by the scruff of its neck in the mould of Steven Gerrard, so Mancini has every reason to be confident in the fact that they can become much more than just Manchester United’s ‘noisy neighbours’.
